Judy Moody is in a mood as she gets ready for her first day of third grade--and it is NOT a good mood. Judy doesn't want to get used to a new desk and a new classroom. But at school her new teacher turns her mood around by giving Judy a new collectible (the tiny plastic table in a pizza box) and assigning a collage to make, all about Judy.
The spunky Judy makes a new friend (Frank, who had a reputation as a paste-eater), joins a club called the TP Club (the initials are secret, and don't stand for the obvious), gets the best Favorite Pet EVER, plays tricks on her little brother Spit--and puts her readers in an excellent mood.
This absolutely delightful story is the first in the Judy Moody series, and is illustrated with equally delightful drawings by Peter H. Reynolds. Highly recommended!
