LILY'S DREAM is a lovely tale of a fairy and her friend.

This picture book is a beautiful story of a little fairy who dreams of flying high above the ground with the birds and the butterflies, but no matter how hard she tries, she can't seem to use her tiny, achromatic wings to lift her off the ground. One day as Lily sets off to practice flying in the forest, she stumbles upon a tiny house, filled with miniature trinkets and fairy-sized furniture. Lily is enthralled with the place, but what she doesn't expect to find there is a human, a little girl named Willow. As Lily and Willow begin to form an unlikely friendship, Lily, with the encouragement and help of her new friend, finally learns to fly.

Lily's Dream is filled with truly magical illustrations and is a charming story. This book brought me right back to the days when I, just like Willow, would carefully curate tiny, fairy-suited homes in my backyard as a child, in the hopes of spotting one of our elusive, magical little friends.

Willow and Lily's bond is a pure, heartfelt reminder that despite our differences, friendship and kindness are always the most beautiful outcomes. The book also points out that although Lily can't fly quite like the other fairies, she can appreciate the small wonders around her on the earth's floor that others may not notice. The message that with a little help and kindness from a friend, anything is possible, also comes through strong throughout this book.
