Lucy Lancaster Is Totally In Control is the third book in the popular series by Willow Coven. Lucy’s favorite cousin, Skye, is coming to visit, and Lucy has every minute mapped out with fun games and activities. There’s just one problem: a stubborn case of the hiccups. Normally, that wouldn't be a big deal, but Lucy is a witch, and every time she hiccups, her magic goes haywire. Now, she has to find a way to manage the chaos and hide her powers from Skye before the whole weekend is ruined.

What I Liked: This book is perfectly geared toward emerging readers. The large font and charming illustrations provide excellent support for those transitioning into longer stories. The relationship between the two girls is very sweet. It’s lovely to see a story that focuses so genuinely on how much Lucy and Skye love hanging out together. The magical hiccup element adds just the right amount of sprinkled-in hijinks. It leads to some very funny moments that will keep young readers entertained and laughing.
