MAKE TRACKS: IN THE SKY is a delightful board book for young vehicle enthusiasts. The book features an airplane, hot air balloon, spaceship, and helicopter that children can explore in terms of their parts and with movement around an illustrated scene.

What I loved: This is another fantastic installment in a series that vehicle lovers can really enjoy. The tracks are sturdy and smooth, and the vehicles are on cardboard coins that stay inside them and can be moved easily throughout the scene. The labeled vehicle parts adds a nice, educational touch to the book, and questions in the illustrated scene invite children to explore deeper and practice other skills, such as counting, naming colors, and more. Images are full of color and detail.

The book also includes a QR code for little ones who want to do it all on their own. The selection of vehicles for the sky is great with a little something for everyone, and the flight paths on this make sense for each of the vehicles. Moving these can help build hand-eye coordination, and the questions to explore are perfectly suited for the toddler ages.

What left me wanting more: As a small thing, while the tracks did make sense for the vehicles, they seemed a little less exciting than in other books. For instance, for the spaceship, it is only moving around in a circle, and the airplane only makes a diagonal line back and forth. That being said, it is still plenty of fun!

Final verdict: MAKE TRACKS: IN THE SKY is a delightful and interactive board book that toddlers are sure to enjoy. Recommend for the youngest vehicle enthusiasts who will get a thrill out of playing with these while learning about them.
