Marching Band is a delightful picture book by Kael Tudor where readers can go on quite the adventure as the marching band parades through some very imaginative scenarios.

What I Liked: From the very first page young readers are engaged in the story with rhyming text that will make them want to partake in the marching band's antics. There are repetitive phrases that truly make this a fun book to read aloud. Each page takes readers on a journey of discovering new sounds and watching the size of the marching band grow.

Complimenting the story are illustrations by Kate Hindley that reminded me of Richard Scary's Busytown. Pages are filled with bright, colorful, detailed pictures. One of my favorite pages is the underwater page, where the marching band characters are floating in different bubbles in the sea. This level of detail makes the book highly re-readable as you'll find new elements on the page with every read!

Marching Band is a captivating picture book that will have children wanting to go on an adventure with the silly marching band.
