MY CUDDLY ILI PIKA is a sweet, interactive board book about friendship. Each page states something about a friend and what they would do, such as knowing we are all unique and catching them when they fall. A cute, soft finger puppet pokes through each page spread for some interactive fun.
What I loved: This is a cute finger puppet board book. The finger puppet is easy to use and wiggle around as the book is read. As the book is small, it can be held by the finger in the puppet. The images around the puppet are colorful with other animals appearing with the ili pika. While they are not named, they are cute and add to the visual fun of the book.
The text itself is rhyming and rolls off the tongue with a solid message of friendship. The pages have no more than a sentence each, so they turn very quickly. The thick board book pages are easy to turn and move around the puppet, making this an easy one to read aloud.
Final verdict: MY CUDDLY ILI PIKA is an adorable finger puppet board book, great for toddlers who enjoy interacting with stories and quick, rhyming reads.
