MEADOW is a clever board book that uses peak throughs with patterns and animals. On the first page, children will see an animal found in the meadow with their name. Each animal/insect features a cut-out that leads to a page with a pattern and another creature on the opposing page.
What I loved: This is a clever format that allows children to explore patterns and the ways that these can become recognizable in nature. The bold colors and contrasts will work well for young readers, and the simplicity of the story in using only the images of animals along with their names is great for early word recognition. The die-cuts add some interest throughout and the board book format will work well for little fingers that want to explore on their own.
Final verdict: MEADOW is a simple but fun board book that encourages children to explore nature and the patterns all around. This will work well for young toddlers and older infants.
