What Worked: The story has lots of action and a big problem when Munki-gu turns a parade float into a powerful dragon using a potion he stole. The illustrations are rich and engaging. Nothing the PJ Masks try works very well. An Yu saves the day when she is finally able to get her staff to work!
What Left Me Wanting More: Not having watched the TV show, the characters were unfamiliar to me. I wasn’t sure if I should already know An Yu or if she was a new character to this story. It was still a fun read that a little one would enjoy, but if you watch the show, it would be even better.
Final Verdict: This would be an engaging story for fans of PJ Masks. It has lots of action and the illustrations are high quality. It has a nice moral that their problem was solved through the power of friendship.
