PLANKTON (EARTH'S SMALLEST SUPERHEROES) is a fascinating look at these tiny creatures. This colorful nonfiction book uses the superhero theme to show all the amazing things plankton do, where they live - and even their villains.

What I loved: This is such an entertaining and clever way to teach children about plankton and oceans/bodies of water. Plankton actually do a lot of really cool things and are more heavily involved in life on Earth than one might imagine. There is a particularly fascinating food web that shows how much they are involved in sea life.

Every page contains colorful illustrations and photographs that really bring the text to life, and keep it fun and engaging throughout. The text is likewise oversized and easy to read, perfect for independent readers who love to learn new things. With lots of fun facts, there are a lot of takeaways for young readers who will love sharing that knowledge with others.

The organization makes sense, and the level of information is age appropriate with enough context and images that they can follow along and understand how cool plankton really are!

Final verdict: PLANKTON (EARTH'S SMALLEST SUPERHEROES) is an entertaining and informative nonfiction read that will delight curious young readers!
