Red Titan: and the never-ending Maze
What Worked: This was a great book to introduce children to the style of graphic novels. The plot was fun as the friends try to use their superpowers to get through a maze that's blocking their path to home.
Final Verdict: The text was a Ready to Read level one graphic novel making the language accessible to emergent readers. I particularly liked the very beginning of the book. It gave simple instructions on how to read graphic novels. The illustrations and action felt like a cartoon. Fans of Ryan’s World will likely want to read this latest book. As a teacher, I could see using this book in a lesson before students were asked to create their own graphic novel.
