This book explores more than 85 different topics that include facts on history, art, science and technology, the human body, animals, and today's world--to name just a few. Each page is illustrated with bright pictures and photos, and the information is set forth in fun-to-read formats, with lots of sidebars and snippets.
SMART-OPEDIA is hard to put down. In one fell swoop, you can learn about super-slow animals (snails), amazing jumping animals (the African lynx), and the swiftest runners (ostriches?! and cheetahs). You can also learn about animal "courtship", all about malaria, what life was like in the Middle Ages or . . .well, you get the idea.
Highly recommended, not only for the fascinating reading/learning factor, but as a true goldmine of conversation starters.
