SUKI CAT: UNICORN is another charming story about Suki Cat, who loves to dress up and explore. In this book, Suki Cat is a unicorn, and she goes to help free a prince from his castle using her unicorn abilities.
What I loved: The coolest part of this book is definitely how interactive it is, with elements to pull out, slide back-and-forth, and rotate. Toddlers will love getting to participate in the story and see it develop along the way. The colorful and bright illustrations add to the magic and keep attention on the pages. With rhyming text, this is a fun one to read aloud and hear. It rolls off the tongue nicely and smoothly throughout.
What left me wanting more: While past Suki Cat books have focused on jobs, this one takes a different direction. While the premise of imagination was still a lot of fun, the "case" that Suki helps with felt a bit forced and did not have the same level of flow or involvement as in past books. That being said, it was still cute.
Final verdict: Overall, SUKI CAT: UNICORN is an interactive board book that will work well for toddlers with bright colors and rhyming text.
