The Bear and the Hare and the Fair is going to be a new favorite go-to for early literacy reads. I loved the rhyming and the clever storytelling that was told through the illustrations as well as the words. The repetition allows young readers to join in and start “reading.” The chosen words allow young readers to see patterns in spellings and that some rhymes have different spellings but make the same sounds. Turning the book on some pages and the action of the characters make this book feel fast-paced and perfectly match the action of the story. I adore this book and can’t wait to read it again because this is going to be a favorite with my students.
