A tale of family, faith, and the warmth of community, inspired by true events. Aidan can't wait for Christmas, but after a storm blows through, and Grandpa and Grandma can't come over, and his family brings out canned goods instead of a fresh-baked feast, he's not so sure it really feels like Christmas anymore. But through those days and nights covered in snow, the people of his town still come together and find ways to celebrate in a different way, and when morning finally comes bright on Christmas day, it reminds Aidan of the nativity story, and the baby who came to be the light of the world.

This cute and cozy story combines many hallmarks of classic Christmas tales with a personal touch all its own, from the Christmas play to the blanketing snow to potlucks and bundling up in jackets beneath an unlit tree to joyful presents. It's easy to forget how much we rely on electricity in daily life, particularly in the darker, colder months, and Aidan and his family demonstrate small acts of resilience in the face of change and how to keep a cheerful spirit when things don't go how they're expected.

With an uplifting cast of family and neighbors, this story reminds us that Christmas is about more than the parties and the lights.
