This fun guidebook comes with everything you need to practice knot tying. The easy to follow illustrations will have young knot enthusiasts learning the difference between hitches, ties, wraps and knots in no time. Two short lengths of rope are included for practice, but parents should be at ease as they are not long and are the equivalent of shoestrings.
There are also several cardboard pages with holes, notches and openings for weaving and tying the various types of knots. Some of the illustrations were a bit difficult to follow at first and could benefit from further instruction to go along with the illustrations, but for the most part, each exercise is easy enough to follow.
I would recommend parental guidance with some of the more complicated exercises as little fingers might struggle to make the knots tight.
I personally found the inclusion of the “earbud wrap” to be quite useful (and I had to try it for myself).
Perfect for a fun group activity or to jazz up a rainy day, the Klutz Book of Knots will appeal to boys and girls alike.
