When children's book author Betsy Byars sees a snake by her house, she's frightened but intrigued. In this autobiography, she weaves stories about her childhood and her writing process around her fascination with this snake, whom she names Moon. As with all of Byars' books, she skillfully weaves humor with a great story, and each chapter is equally entertaining. A must-read for all fans of her books.
