It's time for Little Owl to learn how to fly, but he isn't sure he's ready. However, with Mommy Owl's encouragement, he works up the never to try. Of course, he doesn't fly after his first try so Mommy Owl tells him to try again. She tells him that each time you fail, you learns something new and how to do it the right way. She teaches him that nobody does things right the first time and the more you try, the more you learn.

THE OWL WHO DARED teaches children the importance of "if at first you don't succeed, try again". Little Owl gets discouraged at first but his mother is there to give him the courage to keep trying. It has an important message to give children the courage to try and learn something new. Teaches them to keep going because they'll get better with each try. The illustrations are dark which would make this a good bedtime story.

Final Verdict: I would recommend this for children aged four and up to teach them the importance of learning. It would make a good nighttime story or a classroom read. It also opens up the topic of trying to discuss things they may be scared of doing for the first time.
