The Tree That Time Built is a fantastic anthology of poems, big and small, about the wonders and beauty of nature. Some are funny, some whimsical, and all are charming beyond belief. From poets like William Blake and Ralph Waldo Emerson, to newer yet familiar writers such as Mary Ann Hoberman and Marilyn Singer.
Mary Ann Hoberman is the national children's poet laureate-the spokesperson for all children's poetry books. Her co-editor, Linda Winston, is an educator and cultural anthropologist that has taught at all levels of education (from grade-school through PhD).
I highly suggest this to anyone with a love of nature, poetry, or fond memories of being a child. This is a book that I hope to one day read to my children when they're young.
