The Zombees tells the story of a swarm of zombie bees that have invaded a town on Halloween night. The town is running away in fear of these zombie bees. What are they doing in this town? What are they looking for? It’s something this town has never seen before.

What I Liked: This book takes you on a fascinating journey alongside zombie bees as they invade a town on Halloween night. Follow along as they get into various mischief as they scare the townspeople, and finally get to enjoy the holiday as they wish. The unrealistic size of these zombie bees in relation to the humans in town is a factor in the fear of others, and the illustrations add to the thrill in this story as the zombie bees take over the town. The twist at the close of this book will leave you and your children laughing as these bees reveal their secrets.

Final Verdict: The Zombees is a delightful tale that is great for those of you who enjoy reading spooky tales year-round. Children ages 4 and up will enjoy this spooky tale as creatures that they weren’t aware existed come to life in the vibrant illustrations included on each page. Adults will laugh at the realization that we took this story for its word regarding these zombie bees, only to find out that there was something underneath that story.
