THERE ARE NO SILLY QUESTIONS is a clever and entertaining collection of questions and answers. The book features a few related questions on each page spread, answering them in a few paragraphs. Every page is full of color and related illustrations with a glossary and a full list of questions organized by topic in the backmatter.
What I loved: This is such a fun and educational book for curious kids. Some of the questions they may have considered while others they may still be curious to know the answer. It covers topics from why we burp to why mice like cheese and why people like the Mona Lisa so much. Each answer is written in an approachable and age-appropriate way, giving the basics or some thoughts on each topic.
The illustrations and use of color are really fantastic, which helps to keep young readers engaged throughout. There is a lot of detail and thought put into them all, with specific images included for the vast majority of questions. The color divisions on pages with multiple questions are also a great visual organization clue and help to keep the reading fun.
The backmatter is particularly helpful for readers who want to check out all the questions and topics, with a well-organized index by grouping that allows them to easily find the questions in the book. The glossary is also a nice touch with great definitions for complicated words.
Final verdict: THERE ARE NO SILLY QUESTIONS is an engaging and thoughtful collection of questions and answers that is sure to delight curious readers. Recommend for elementary school aged readers or anyone who wants to learn something new!
