In this bouncy, playful picture book for very young listeners, follow two baby friends who live in facing buildings through their day--playing, singing, and napping--till they meet in the park!

Somewhere in the big, big city
two happy babies look out their morning windows
at the very same time.

Just what will these two babies do today? Well, this baby meows like his cat, and that baby barks like her dog. This mellow baby listens to a story, and that rambunctious baby sings a song.

Soon enough, both babies get hungry...and a bit cranky. How will this Mama and that Papa help them feel better? Perhaps a play date in the park will help!

Critically acclaimed and award-winning creators--author Cari Best and illustrator Rashin Kheiriyeh--team up for this delightful read-aloud that will have listeners clapping and giggling right alongside this baby and that baby.

This baby. That Baby. Is a cute story of two babies living parallel lives in a large city. Both babies have fun and have pets. Then after a nap, they end up meeting at the park to come together and play. This is a sweet story but I am a bit curious how the intended age range approaches this book. If you are reading this to a baby or toddler, I can see that there might be too much text and the illustrations busy, which could hinder their understanding of the story. If it is a preschool child, I could see them thinking they are too big to read about babies and being reluctant to engage in the story. From an adult perspective, it is a darling picture book about unity and how we all have things in common even when we do things in slightly different ways. The mirroring of each child’s action emphasizes their diversity but at their core, they are still doing the same things to meet their needs. Overall, this is a sweet book that celebrates the little ones in our lives.

Thank you to Cari Best, Rashin Kheiriyeh and Random House Kids for a copy of This Baby. That Baby.
I thoroughly enjoy reviewing children's books and loved this book. The graphics are colorful and fun. The font is easy to read. The book is larger which I always appreciate.
The story is of two babies who see each other through their building windows as neighbors. They wave and enjoy seeing one another. I loved how cute their differences were incorporated into the story along with the pictures.
Eventually the two babies meet and a new friendship is formed. Adorable, sweet story for babies about friendship.
I am going to gift my copy to my friend who is a Speech Language Professional who is working with infants/babies from Birth to three.
Thanks very much.
