THIS LITTLE DUCKLING is a simple and touchable board book. Each page features a simple sentence about this little duckling, such as that it has a smooth beak, hatched from an egg, and has soft feathers. The last page features a felt flap to lift to see the duckling going home.

What I loved: This is a very simple concept and works well for the youngest of readers, older infants and young toddlers. The phrasing of the book uses repetitive language and simple sentences to help with comprehension, make the pages turn quickly, and direct to the touchable element. The touch-and-feel elements were very nicely done with some smooth and soft things to feel throughout. Bright and contrasting colors and patterns give little ones something to visually explore on each page. The flap at the end is cute and adds another element for little ones to enjoy. It is nicely sturdy as well.

The pages turn fast, and the text is clear and easy to read throughout, with only one sentence on each page spread. This is great for little attention spans and allows children to explore each page with their fingers at their own pace.

Final verdict: THIS LITTLE DUCKLING is a charming touch-and-feel board book that will appeal to the youngest readers.
