It is time to go to bed but a squirrel is not exactly ready to stop having fun and go to sleep. This squirrel is out enjoying his time with his friends Owl, Fox, and Bear building snow animals, and skating on ice until it seems that the animals are all starting to fall asleep. It might just be time for Squirrel to give in to sleep.

What I Liked: This book is a perfect read during bedtime, especially in the winter when the nights are longer and children might be on winter vacation so they don’t want to go to bed yet. Children will enjoy getting introduced to each of the animals including Bear who unintentionally scares his friends.

Each page consists of a few words that go along with the image, the words are written in white which allows for a good contrast with the images making it easy to read. The images make the pages come to life as you watch the animals engage in various winter activities. Each of the animals has distinct features that make it easy to tell them apart and they are realistic.

Final Verdict: Wake Up, Moon is a cute and fun bedtime story for children ages 4 and up. This is a book that will capture the attention of young readers as they relate to how the characters are enjoying winter activities. Adults will enjoy reading this book out loud and watching as their child goes to sleep with the characters.
