Who’s the Boss is a quirky story with a surprise at the end. Each animal in the jungle argues about who is the boss because of one of their traits and they get quite angry at each other until it is revealed to be a fun game of make-believe and the animals are finger puppets being played by a young child before bed. During the story, I thought the animals were illustrated in an exaggerated slender style until the surprise of them being finger puppets is revealed, making the illustrations a very clever hint. Overall, this is a fun story with a simple sentence structure making it great for young children. The surprise at the end was well done.
