In this beguiling "how-to" author Jacquie Wines briefly discusses the way humans have hurt our planet. Then she goes on to list and describe fifty easy ways we can help to reduce that damage.

The hints start at home, with a chapter called "Do You Live in a Green House?" Readers act as detectives to find the "energy crimes" being committed at home. Afterward, they can act by switching off energy vampires, including equipment that goes on standby yet furtively drains power. The tips continue on with picking the best light, how to wash clothes while staying green, and much more.

Further chapters discuss how to keep the outdoors green, planet-friendly shopping, ways to conserve resources (reduce, reuse, repair, recycle), pollution avoidance, saving plants and animals, and "spreading the word."

This is a fun-to-read inspiration for anyone who would like to make a positive difference in the world's outlook. The illustrations are hilarious, and the book is appropriately printed in green ink on recycled paper.
