A dollmaker creates ZigZag from scraps. He was an odd-looking doll with a zigzag mouth, but the dollmaker knows someone will love him.
After the shop closes, the toys wake up and make fun of ZigZag before pushing him off the shelf and into the trash. A hunting owl picks ZigZag up and he meets new friends who help him find a nice child to love him.
I enjoyed the illustrations, which appeared (to my untrained eye) to be a combination of computer generated art and fabric--the perfect style for a story about a rag doll.
