The timeless classic about the adventures of a hundred-year-old china doll and her new plastic neighbor, from bestselling and award-winning authors Anne M. Martin (The Babysitters Club) and Laura Godwin, with illustrations from Brian Selznick (The Invention of Hugo Cabaret).

Annabelle Doll is eight years old and has been for over 100 years. She and her family, beautifully crafted china dolls, have been passed down through four generations of the same family. Not a lot has happened to them, cooped up in the dollhouse, with the same doll people, day after day, year after year...until the Funcrafts move in.

Unlike the cautious, traditional Doll family in every way, the Funcrafts are new, plastic, and carefree, delivered straight from the factory shelves! Tiffany Funcraft is an adventurer—and after 100 years of boredom, that's just what Anabelle needs. Especially when she vows to solve a decades-long family mystery.

This beloved doll story will spark imagination and wonder in young readers, and send them on a search for the second book in the series, The Meanest Doll in the World.

This was one of my favorite books that I read a few years ago, for middle school. The cover grabbed my attention, and I loved the creative plot of it. I liked the good versus evil displayed in the novel as well. This was a fun, stimulating read with some great characters. I recommend for you to read it, if you haven't already.

This book is a great, entertaining read. Mostly known, the book is for girls, but I think that boys wouldn't hate this book. This book is very lively, and detailed. The subject of living dolls is an interesting topic, and makes you continue reading. Completely suggest this book!!

It was good I have to admit. But The Doll People is a long book but it is for little kids! I guess it is good. But if you should read it to little kids not expect them to. But it is still cute, I'd recomend it! You should read it. :)

The Doll people is a cute little story about a 100 year old doll family. When the humans arent looking the dolls can come alive, they've been living this simple happy life for 100 years and everythings been going great until the Funcrafts show up.
The Funcrafts are a 'new' set of dolls that come to the family, there wild, crazy, and NEW. The Doll People follows the daughters of the two doll familys as they become friends and go through many crazy adventures together.

The Doll People is one of the cutest books I've read ever. Its a little kids book so theres nothing demanding or challenging about it but its a very cute book.
