Geraldine Pu loves to write stories and with her lucky pencils, the ideas seem to come to her a lot easier. When she's assigned to write a story about her family, Geraldine gets a bit of writer's block. She can't think of anything exciting that her family has done and starts wondering if her pencil isn't so lucky after all. However, when she asks help from her Grandma, she learns that there's a lot more to her family than she ever could have imagined.

GERALDINE PU AND HER LUCKY PENCIL TOO is a cute story in graphic novel format that's all about creativity and making memories with your family. It's perfect for early readers who also enjoy writing. In the back of the book, the author talks more about families and also teaches children how to make a scrapbook. I love this bonus because it encourages creativity while spending time with family. The author encourages children to ask their family questions because that's the only way they will learn. The illustrations are vibrant and adorable with how her pencil is designed. The graphic novel format seems to be more appealing to children too.

Final Verdict: I would recommend this to children aged six and up who enjoy writing and graphic novels. I love how it encourages children to spend more time with their family while also teaching them it's okay to ask for help.
