WADDLE LIKE A DUCK is a fun, interactive board book, great for animal lovers. This book features different animal actions that are performed by the animals in the book using sliders and can be copied by young readers, such as trotting like a horse, pecking like a chicken, and rolling like a pig.

What I loved: This is a really cute and fun concept. The book includes actions that can be easily replicated by toddlers for some active fun - or just done on the pages by using the sliders or pull-out pages. The formulaic nature of the text is great for little ears who will love to hear these action words alongside animals around the farm. The sliders work smoothly to create each of the actions with different elements on each page for some variety. The double pull-out page for the quacking ducks is particularly fun.

With a rough toddler reader in my house, I appreciate that most of the actions are sliders that cannot easily be ripped out. The pull-out page adds to the image but is not necessary for reading, which is also a plus, since these are often quick to be removed by rough little hands.

The images are full of color with lots of great details. The animals are expressive and delightful throughout with a nice cartoonish look that children will enjoy. The text is clear and easy to read on each page, and a QR code on the back includes an audiobook that can be used for independent reading/listening.
