Review Detail

Theo is an ordinary boy with a very dapper dog, Geoff, who's not big on dog things but sure knows how to paint a portrait or whip up a good smoothie. Although Theo first wishes Geoff would be more normal, he soon comes to see that Geoff is happiest the way he is - and Theo wouldn't have him be any other way.

The story is told in first person, with large text and playful, full page illustrations. Through Theo and Geoff, we see the difficulties of two different personalities learning to get along, and even better, become friends. Geoff's quips and quirks remind me of both Snoopy and Mr. Peabody, and he's quite the lovable dog.

A great book that teaches to be accepting of others, and also the uniqueness inside of oneself.
