DOUBLE TROUBLE! features twins, Ellis and Erin, who are looking for trouble. They search all over the house, in the mud puddle, in the trash cans, and more. They finally decide to give up and play pirates, when they spot Trouble. I'll let you read it to find out what Trouble they find, but it's overall pretty cute, as they definitely find plenty of trouble all over the place.

What I loved: The plot is relatively simple, and children will recognize all the trouble that the twins get into (even if they don't recognize it as such). The book is written in a good sized font and is easy to read aloud. The length is great for the preschool and early elementary school aged crowd. The pictures are simple and suit the story well.

What left me wanting more: As a parent, I love seeing good habits in books, and this one is full of mess and an obvious lack of parents. It's a silly book, so not to be taken too seriously, even when one child grabs a piece of cake right off the platter in the fridge or the dog's excretions outside. The illustrations are very sketchlike, which will appeal to some but is pretty simple throughout. SOme extra visual interest to go along with the length would have been nice.

Final verdict: Overall, this is a silly picture book about the search for trouble.
