GUESS WHO? I LOVE YOU! is a delightful lift-the-flap picture book, perfect for Valentine's Day. The book features different animals who have gifts that they bring to a door, which is a flap that lifts to show the next animal friend. At the end, they all come together with one last gift to a door hiding a surprise mirror - it's for the reader!

What I loved: This book (and the series) are perfect for young toddlers who will love the flaps, the rhythm of the text, and the mirror at the end. The writing has a lot of repetition, which gives it a fantastic rhythm when read aloud and is also great for young, learning ears who will understand it more easily through the repeating words.

The illustrations are colorful and full of fun details, which allow readers to guess which animal is behind each door before the flaps are lifted. The Valentine's Day theme is also carried throughout with lots of pink and red colors, heart gifts, and other sweet details along the way. The mirror at the end is also great for toddlers who will love seeing themselves in the story!

As another nice touch, the book includes a QR code, which can be scanned to have the story read aloud, complete with dings for when the page should be turned. This is great for young reader independence.

What left me wanting more: As a small thing, the pages are regular picture book pages, so they are easy for eager fingers to rip. This series would be fantastic in a board book format!
