About This Book:

A surprisingly humorous story of choosing and being chosen, this picture book is an ode to cats and the people who love them.

But that one over there? She’s not mine. Not at all.

When a new cat appears in her backyard, a young girl isn’t sure what to do. The new kitty is a little smelly and covered in fleaswho would want a cat like that? Besides she already has three cats, and they’re not too keen on this newcomer either.

But day by day and season by season, the new cat comes back, and the girl and her kitties warm to the new furry face in their yard. Before they know it, the new cat isn’t so newshe’s part of the family.

To adopt or not

I Have Three Cats is a classic story many of us have encountered. You have your limit, or what you think is your limit for pets, and when a stray arrives, you have to choose not to feed it, to try and find the owners, and eventually, maybe we will have room for one more. I have been in this situation, and it breaks my heart every time; on the day when that cat did not show up to get fed, where did they go? Usually, they are Toms and out chasing a female, or they have multiple houses they eat at, and finally, they decide your house is the best option. I Have Three Cats will allow you to discuss the care of pets, options for those with no homes, and finally, whether you can help those who need help. A clear message is hidden inside these pages: spay and nature your animals and make wise choices about adoption.
