Mickey Mouse and His Boat will be loved by many young kids you baby-sit. This story is creative, sad, comforting, and cute. The beautiful Walt Disney’s Richard Walz illustration of Mickey Mouse and friends will entice kids. When I was young with this book, I enjoyed reading about Pluto and seeing the new boats the most.


Mickey and Pluto love their boat. They fish. They bird-watch. They relax. Suddenly, guests want to fish and ride too. Pluto is too big and there’s no room for him. Mickey ends up buying boats to accommodate his friends, but goes back to his best little boat in the end.


I recommend this book for kids ages 3 and up. 4 stars for creativity and fun.
