Millie Fleur’s Poison Garden is a book my children pull off the shelf again and again, always finding something fun tucked into the illustrations.

Blending whimsical charm with a hint of mystery, giving off “Little Shop of Horrors” and "Wednesday" vibes, Millie Fleur's Poison Garden inspires readers to remain true to oneself with her courage and determination. The book is also based on the real Poison Garden at Alnwick, and includes information about it in the end notes, as well as information about a couple of off beat plants that are real and can be grown at home!

Christy Mandin includes diverse characters, imagination, a connection to a historical poisonous garden, and more! Children and adults will love this brilliantly written and wonderfully engaging story!
