My child loved this simple story about the trip to the harbor. The story is told just like you would expect your first trip to be. It has a dreamy colorful quality about it that takes you back to what your first day trip your parents must have been like. The picture of the bird on the cover is quite lovely as are the pictures of nature, boats, and the other harbor sightings. The story is so simple to follow too. If you are not geographically located where you can visit a harbor with your child, or even if you are close to one, this is a great book with which to share that experience.

We very highly recommend this book.
