Review Detail

This book ignites young children’s imagination with taking care of different animals. They can act out the movements on each page. The chomping lizard and the fluttering butterfly are the highlight of the book because you can move the pages up and down to make the animals come to life which is sure to elicit giggles from preschool kiddos. The pictures are bright and colorful and are sure to get kids asking to read the book again. One small point of disappointment is that the pages are smooth. With a name like ‘Pet This Book’ my child was immediately drawn to it and opened the book only to find that the pets did not have fur or bumpy scales that would have been a further interaction when inviting the reader to pet it. Overall, this book was well done and great for preschool age children. It emphasizes how to be a great and gentle pet owner in an interactive way.
