Russell, of bestselling RUSSELL THE SHEEP fame, is back--and he's on the hunt for treasure. When a crow drops a treasure map at his hooves, Russell is inspired to build a Super-Duper Treasure Seeker. With it, he searches everywhere but comes up empty-handed. When all seems lost, he tosses his invention. Don't worry, though--he finds the treasure chest anyway. But is the stuff inside actually "treasure"? Hmm. Good question. What he does with it involves his whole family . . .and puts a big "aw, gee" smile on the face of readers (as well as a warm glow in the heart).
Speaking of treasure, Scotton's hysterical yet endearing illustrations are priceless. Kids (and their parents) are sure to be delighted with the "family is the prize" theme. I predict much "read it again" squealing, as with the first delightful book in the series, RUSSELL THE SHEEP.
