Sage LOVES her seven dresses!
There’s the princess dress from Grandpa that makes her feel like she’s guarding a big castle. The sundress from Grandma that she wears to the beach to build the tallest sandcastles. The bunny dress from Nana that keeps her warm and cozy all winter long. The fancy dress from Papa and Gigi that makes her feel extra fancy for special days. The dancing dress from her cousin that makes her feel cool just like her older cousin. The mountain bike dress from her dad that she wears when she zooms through the trails. And her favorite dress from Mom, perfect for snowboarding down snowy hills.

During the day, Sage wears her dresses on adventures big and small. But at night, when the world feels quiet and still, she puts on each dress and thinks of the family members who gave it to her.

Full of fun and heart, Sage and Her Seven Dresses is a sweet story about love, family, and the magic of family.

Sage love dresses and has worn them on all her adventures. She has a princess dress from her grandpa, a sundress from grandma, a bunny dress from Nana, a fancy dress from Papa and Gigi, a dancing dress from her cousin, a mountain bike dress from her dad and a dress from mom that is her favorite. Each of the dresses have their own purpose and are great for very different things. At night when Sage is struggling to sleep she puts on all of her dresses to comfort her and remind her of the family members that gave them to her.
What I Liked: This book begins by introducing you to Sage and all of the things that she loves including her dresses. The book then goes on to introduce each of Sage’s dresses, who gave them to her, and her favorite adventures to take them on.

The illustrations throughout the book go well with the text and do a fantastic job of breaking up the text. The illustrations also help showcase the different dresses and make the adventures come to life. You get to see what each dress is best for and how happy Sage is when she is wearing them.

The closing of the book highlights how each dress is full of love and how they all bring comfort to Sage. This is a fun culminating moment after we’ve seen how she eases her loneliness with the dresses and the moments the dresses remind her of. This final illustration highlights the love and magic that Sage’s dresses hold and how much her family cares for her.

Final Verdict: Sage and Her Seven Dresses is a fun and colorful story about love and family. Children ages 4 and up will enjoy seeing all the vibrant, colorful dresses that Sage has and all the activities she does in a dress. It’s fascinating to see how Sage adds accessories and other pieces of clothing to make her dresses perfect for the event such as cycling or snowboarding.

Sage loves her dresses as they each represent a fun time in her life. They have been given to her by the people who love her most and she has so many great memories. At night, when the fun is over, Sage puts on her dresses all at once to help her feel less lonely.
What I Liked: I enjoyed the message that certain items have great memories attached to them and how we can relive them whenever we want, though perhaps not by wearing seven dresses to bed! Sage is a great character who seems to live a full life. She spends a lot of time with family members and they stay active together. It could be helpful in teaching kids that even though the day is over and the fun has stopped for now, they have the memories to make them happy until they get to spend time with their loved ones again.
What Left Me Wanting More: I liked the illustrations, but I would have liked a little more detail. They were colorful though and kids will like them.
Final Verdict: A fun story about a little girl who is surrounded by love and makes many memories with her family. I would recommend it for children who are perhaps separated from family members for example and they can be encouraged to focus on good memories to help them through it.
Good Points
A Fun quick read
