I like this book because a young surfer, Bethany Hamilton, on her way to being a pro lost her arm to a shark.The thing that saved her was her friends working together. There is some irony in this book like when she got to the hospital her dad was in the surgery room she was going to be in.

I liked this book because it is about a surfer named Bethany Hamilton and she gave her arm to a shark! Well she didn't give her arm to a shark I was just being dramatic but she did loose her arm to a shark. She was surfing on a normal day(Halloween day to be exact)and was riding a small wave with her(left)arm in the water. She saw a gray shadow from the corner of her eye. Next thing she knew she a TINGLE TINGLE TUG! Her arm was gone. After that she is battleing to go back in the water. What a struggle!!!

This book is so very interesing because Bethany was on her way to being a pro surfer. And got biten on the way. She was in the hospitel for about two weeks. She finally got outand had to spend the night at her uncle's.She finlly got to go to many many interviews with,many different celebertys.Also she finllygot back in the water and won fith place in a surfing copatision.She is one of the best known amateur sufers now,even know she lost her arm.Bethany was an amazing girl Beathanywas yes she was.

A girl name is Bethany was boprn from a family that to surfing all the time.... So she think she think she want to be a surfer of her family and enter to alot of contest and win ...She knew some bad the can happened tokid who love to surfing to much than going school everyday...Back in her little age when little kids go to school in the age 4 she was take a picture when she was taught how to surfing she was notr really doing it ,it a background off a wave and a fake surfboard like a fake big mouse u stick your head out in the little hole..When she was 13 year old she was going surfing with her friend and her friend's dad and older brother.. It was halloween morningand she was alway thinking something in her mind and it was saying get to the water when her friend's dad said something to her then the word blow out of her mouthsaying get to the water.She got to the water and surfing some of her great move .....and then a 14 foot tiger shark came near her left arm in bite it off and then the shark was going and one of her brother came and get her...She didn't know her leftb arm was gone ..

I am truely amazed at how well Bathany has handled the whole ordeal of getting her arm bitten off by a shark. I would have pannicked and I would be so depressed. I would feel like an outcast and feel like everyone was looking down on me. The way she has handled this makes me realize it might not be all that bad and it also helps me to realize how lucky I am to be gifted with both of mr arms. Bethany has inspired me. Maybe even to the point of giving syrfing a try. I defenatly laughed and cried while reading this book. Very emotional.

This is a very inspiring book called Soul Surfer, written by Bethany Hamilton. In the storey an extremely talented 13 yr old surfer experiences an attack that no one would ever want to face unexpectedly. This book takes you through the start of her surfing days, the agonising attack on to the recovery and her first time surfer after the attack. Through Bethanys story some times she wanted to give up on trying to get better, but her faith in god gave her know choice but to never give up. There are very emotional parts to the book, like when Bethanys dad was on the operating table ready have his operation. Then the surgeon got an alert saying that a 13 yr old girl had had her arm bitten off in a shark attack on tunnels. Strait away her dad knew it was either Bethany or her friends.

this book is so good. it is really interesting a cool!!!! i loved this book and i would love to read the other one to. i really hope you will read it . even if you are not in to reading(like me) you should try to rad this i read it twice!!!! i am only 10 years old and the second time i read it i read it in two days! this book really inspired me you should read it. !

Hey i read this book twice and i think the book is one of the best books ever. I am a christian and everything about how God helped you servive and help you get through the attack was so true and amazing."I can do anything through Christ who strengthen me." Yes this book decribes how many wonderful things God can do and how inspiring your friends ad family and people you dont even know can be. This book gets a A+. Keep up the good strength and good work......

Omg this book is so inspiring. I got it for Christmas last year and was pretty ticked that this was the only thing I had gotten from my sister, but it turned out to be so awsome. What I probobly liked most about the book was that she used God and referances from the Bible in her autobiography. I would recomend this book to anybody who has a little pationce and can stand a boring begining.

I loved the book it was so inspiring and it made me feel like I was in her shoes living her life. There was so much that I hadn't realized in life that was important and she made me discover it. There are so many lessons to take from this book but I think my favorite is accept yourself for who you are. I agree with that so much. I saw Bethany in Hershey Park and got her autograph and no, she is not rude or mean. Instead she is caring and funny. Sometimes I think oh I have to live up to the expectations of everybody when in reality I am myself and if they can't accept that than so be it. Bethany's book has taught me that and also that God has a plan for everybody and I also loved how she used qoutes from the Bible. There are so many people out in the world who should read Bethany's book, it is the most fabulous book ever!
