When mom says the family is moving house, that means they're actually moving the whole house, right? The little boy imagines all the ways they can pick up their house and take it with them, with cranes, or boats, or even helicopters! Okay, maybe that's not what mom meant, but moving is still a big adventure.

This is such a fun story. Imagination sparks from a little misunderstanding, and there's so much detail put into how a house could actually be moved. Maybe even more extraordinary is that these sorts of techniques are actually used to transport large objects (whole streets were cleared, and trees and light posts measured, when the space station was moved by truck, for example), and this daydream about a house sparks ideas about problem solving and doing big things.

A great read for families looking to start on their own moving journey, or who want a read
