Jeremiah suddenly notices something astounding: His dad doesn't have much hair. In fact, he answers when a stranger calls him by the name of "Baldy." Jeremiah is fascinated: where did his dad's hair go? Was he born that way? When Jeremiah hears his dad say he lost his hair, the boy has a mission: he will find that hair his dad lost.

The cartoony pictures by illustrator Henry Payne are hilarious--my favorite is a two-page spread of Jeremiah imagining what his dad would look like with hair, from an Elvis-do to a businessman's tidy style. Kids (especially those with follicularly-challenged dads) will love this story, with its uplifting "everyone is different, but perfect to those who love them" ending.

p.s. Check out the author's photo on the book jacket; he is "magnificently bald"! I love that!

I liked this book a lot because it reminds me of when I was young and wondered what happened to my father's hair. Also, it has many funny and cute pictures. Its a book which little kids who wonder about where their father's hair went will like a lot because it answers their silly question. Also, it has very clear pictures to help them understand what they are reading. Older readers will also enjoy it because of the naivete of the kid in the book.
