Leela, Jaden, and their parents are on their way to Minnesota to help prepare for another disaster. This time, it's a blizzard. There adventures are packed with all kinds of rescuing. First it's a bunny, then they help animals on a farm, and finally their parents assist with delivering care packages to the seniors. All the while, learning a bit more about how to handle being in a blizzard, such us how salting the roads assist with preventing ice from forming

I love the Disaster Squad series because it is full of family adventure and teaches good morals and family dynamics. I also love how the parents consistently add to their disaster kit and how the items depend on what they might face. In this one, they get a shovel which comes in handy. Just like other books in the series, it's perfect for those children who are enjoying their first sets of chapter books. There's also a questions and activities section in the back for more engagement and learning.

Final Verdict: I would recommend this to children aged six and older who enjoy learning about weather and national disasters. It's also great to teach them sincere values and how kindness can go a long way.
