If you're looking for a lively, informative and all-around fun book, you've got to read Buying, Training & Caring for Your Dinosaur, by Laura Joy Rennert.
I love that this book uses a fun format to give kids the scoop on dinosaurs. Disguising itself as a guide book, Buying, Training & Caring for Your Dinosaur, gives eager kids a much-needed lesson on just how to choose the right dinosaur as a pet. It places these huge dinosaurs in everyday settings and gives children a hands-on demonstration of what it might be like to bathe, feed and walk them as pets.
This is an imaginative little book with bright and adorable illustrations by artist Marc Brown, who is also the creator of the lovable Arthur, star of the Emmy-Award winning PBS television show.
Your five to eight year old will treasure this book. Don't miss out.
