SUPER HERO GIRLS brings us Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Green Lantern, Bumblebee, and Zatanna as teenagers. When they aren't trying to save the world, they have to attend school like ordinary students. No using their powers. Follow all of the rules. No being late.
When the group is late again to school after fighting a battle, the principal tells them they need to join an after-school club or get suspended. Not wanting it to go on their record or to get in trouble with their parents, the girls decide it's best to join clubs. However, it doesn't work out like they hoped it would. Instead, it's a disaster. Not to mention the new villain that wants to make her mark in the villain world.
This is a cute graphic novel for kids who might not know the backstories of each of the heroes and who want something light and fluffy. I do wish there was more depth to the story and think that the words should be a little bigger and easier to read. I like that each girl has their own unique personality and that it doesn't stop them from working so well together.
Final Verdict: I would recommend this to fans of superheroes, DC icons, and fluffy high school stories with a twist of action.
