Does it take more than bricks and mortar to make a home? Or is it about what you find there? Who is waiting for you when you come home and how they make you feel?
What I Liked: There was a very positive message with this book - home is where you feel safe and loved. It is a place to be yourself and for children, that is the most important thing. We all live in different types of houses and with different types of families, but as long as it is a loving home, that is all that matters. The illustrations were simple, but warm and colorful. Younger kids will love them.
What Left Me Wanting More: I did think that some of the text seemed lost in the images, but as I was reading the digital version and this is a pop up book, I assume kids would lift the flaps to see the words on some of the pages in the physical copy.
Final Verdict: A charming, colorful book that could be comforting to kids going to preschool. It can be hard for them, but knowing they can go home at the end of the day would be helpful for some children. I would recommend it.
