We have all experienced a time when hunger hits hard and we want to eat everything imaginable. I Am Hungry is a book that really feeds on that idea (pun intended).
A squirrel is famished and comes up with some pretty crazy ideas of things they can eat from chocolate mice to an actual frying pan.
What I Liked: The illustrations are bright and funny and compliment the story so well. Silly rhymes make this book very engaging for young children.
What Left Me Wanting More: There were some very creative ideas of what the squirrel wanted to eat, but the last page didn't seem to fit and felt a bit anticlimactic.
I Am Hungry is a silly book that will have young readers laughing out loud.
