IMAGINE THAT! is an adorable story about using your imagination. Elliot is walking to school on a Monday when the new girl next door, Ruby, says hello. She then starts to tell him all the fascinating things she imagines as they walk to school. Each day that week, Ruby shares her wild stories- until Friday, when Elliot comes up with his own.

The whimsical artwork that goes along with the story makes this a charming read. The book is all the more impressive because it was written by Tom when he was only seven years old!

What I loved: Each leap they take in imagination is silly and fun, such as the stick in the path being a witch's broomstick that fell when a flock of crows took her to the evil wizard (because she had stolen his self-replenishing tasty treats potion). The illustrations are equally charming and suit the story perfectly, with plenty of color and fun. The pacing is just right, and the book makes for a delightful read to young children. The font is nice and clear too, making it easy to read aloud.

Final verdict: Charming and whimsical, IMAGINE THAT! is a great story about friendship and imagination that will delight young readers.
