If you like David Shannon's series of David books, add this one to your collection. My favorite thing about this book, as well as the others, is that children can relate to David's issues. In this Christmas edition, David is told "No Peeking!" "Santa's watching, David!" and "Go to sleep, David!" Parents, have you ever heard yourself saying those very words to your children?

Teachers-if you plan on using this as a read-aloud in your class, there is a scene in which David's name is written in the snow....in yellow. You may want to skip that page when you're reading to your class.
