Laugh-out-loud funny, with an understated humor the gets wilder as the story grows. When Mr. Norton's bike is borrowed (and busted) by a bear, he's got to find another way to get to work. Monday, Tuesday, and so on, he tries out different forms of transportation, but with commuter troubles and an increasing number of animal friends wanting to tag along, he's late every day and not sure what to do. But when the weekend comes, perhaps these animal friends can offer a perfect solution all of their own.
This is one of those simple tales that's simply delightful, from the comic expressions of despair to the animals piling onto a scooter to Norton's eureka moment in a shower cap and robe. It's a bit of a cumulative tale, with a repeated cadence as the week progresses and more and more animals enter the increasingly chaotic scene.
I'd recommend for lovers of silly animals and things with wheels, and I'll definitely be looking for more from this author.
